Fryar presented DECA Advisor Award
The Red Apple Advisor Award is a prestigious recognition system were Wisconsin DECA members have the chance to nominate their advisors who have made an amazing different in their lives, schools, and communities. Ms. Fryar has been a DECA advisor for 17 years - six of which have been in Rhinelander. She has taught hundreds of students, had several state and international champions, taken students all over the country, and overall treated every child she has ever encountered like her own. This is the first year Ms. Fryar has ever received this award, and Rhinelander DECA was ecstatic to have the opportunity to nominate her.
The Rhinelander DECA Officer Team took charge of this project, creating a two-minute video of many people who have been touched by the magic of this incredible teacher. Alumni, parents of previous and current members, Rhinelander High School administrators, current students, and chapter officers all came together to record clips of themselves glowing about the amazing impact Ms. Fryar has had on their lives. The whole chapter was aware of the effort, helping the officer team come up with content and ideas.
Alumna Haley Sisel summed up the purpose of this nomination perfectly, stating in her video clip, "We know how much our DECA Mom loves and cares for us. But there's one thing that's for sure, and that's that we love you the most."
"Rhinelander DECA would like to congratulate Ms. Fryar on receiving this award, and thank her for being a shining star in the Rhinelander community," the district stated in a press release.
Her nomination video has been posted on YouTube, and has been posted to the RHS Facebook page.
