Sandy was born Jan. 30, 1947, in Rhinelander, to the late Harry and Violet (Wales) Kasmarek.
Sandy grew up in Rhinelander area and attended school here. She enjoyed spending time at the family farm in Sugar Camp. She was later married to Bob Lake on Nov. 20, 1986 in Poynette; he survives.
Bob and Sandy enjoyed going on motorcycle trips with each other. They put on over 200,000 miles on the road together. She loved knitting and, most of all, spending time with her family, especially her husband, Bob, and her daughter, Margaret.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Lake of Rhinelander; two brothers, Jerry "Midge" Kasmarek of Kentucky and Cliff (Kelly) Kasmarek of Rhinelander; three sisters, Gwen Krueger of Tomahawk, Debby (Ken) Lowther of Rhinelander, and Celia Marlatt of Rhinelander.
Sandy is further survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Kasmarek, her mother, Violet Kasmarek, her stepmother, Virginia Kasmarek, her daughter, Margaret Roberts, two brothers, Don and Dennis Kasmarek, and a sister, Cheryl "Bubbles" Kasmarek.
A private family Celebration of Life Service for Sandy Lake will be held at Generations Funeral Home in Tomahawk with Rev. Larry Mathein to officiate. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
