James Beck Cancer Center welcomes radiation oncologist
Dr. Barton is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology and specializes in the treatment of all radiation-sensitive cancers, according to an Ascension press release.
"My goal is to employ individualized evidence-based treatment techniques to deliver the most optimal radiation therapy," said Barton. "I strive to minimize the side effects from radiation to improve my patient's quality of life."
Dr. Barton earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina and completed his Radiation Oncology Residency at St. Vincent's Hospital, New York, New York. He also completed a Radiation Oncology Fellowship in Breast Cancer at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Outside of the office, Dr. Barton enjoys exercising, kayaking and hiking.
