Library to host annual tea party, air-powered rocket program
Air-Powered Rockets
Children entering kindergarten and up are invited to take part in an Air-Powered Rocket program presented by Green Bay scientist Jim Lenz. Two programs will be offered on Thursday, June 27, one from 1 to 1:45 p.m. and another from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Participants will build and launch their own paper rockets. Registration is required and can be done by stopping in the children's department or calling 715-365-1070 ext. 2. This program is also sponsored by the women's club.
Kid's Summer Book Club
Two summer book clubs are being conducted this summer at the Rhinelander District Library. There's one for third and fourth grade reading level and another for fifth and sixth grade reading levels. Each group meets monthly after reading an age- appropriate book. Stop by the children's department for more information or to register and receive the book you'll be discussing.
The first meeting dates are Monday, June 24 for the older group and Tuesday, June 25 for the younger one. Both groups gather from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on those days for a bunch of fun-filled activities based around the book they read. For more information, call the children's department at 715-365-1070 ext. 2.
Make It @ Your Library
Children are invited to stop by anytime during open hours at the children's department the week of July 1 - July 6 to experiment with fun science-based activities.
