Vicky studied for two years at Northcentral Technical College and the Wausau hospital, to be a certified surgical technologist. She was employed at Ministry Health Care and Shopko Eye Care in Rhinelander.
She had an infectious smile that just made you feel good. She was graceful and beautiful inside and out. She's the one that moved turtles off the road for their safety; that's the kind of person she was.
Vicky and Paul traveled extensively from one end of the country to the other, plus Canada and Puerto Rico, and she went on several cruises with family and friends, most recently to Alaska with Paul. She was an avid camper, enjoyed attending Packers games, visiting ice cream shops, and quietly cruising area lakes on her pontoon boat. A good day for her was relaxing and reading at their peaceful home on the lake.
Vicky despised the cold northern Wisconsin winters, but thoroughly enjoyed the springs, summers, and falls. She was a fantastic cook, and her family always looked forward to the dishes she would bring to their gatherings.
She met the fight with cancer head on, both for herself and others. She was very active in the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance and supported fellow cancer patients in so many ways. Her doctors and nurses looked forward to her visits.
Vicky was the definition of loving, caring, giving, and supportive. Look these words up and you'll see her picture. There was no end to her generosity and support; just ask anyone that knew her. She would celebrate others successes more than her own. The world is a better place because she was here.
Victoria is survived by her husband Paul Anderson, her daughters Tracy (Jeremy) Monk and Karrie (Aaron) Liebherr, her grandchildren Gabrielle, Alexander, Joseph, Olivia, Gaven, Jackson, Reagan and Dawson, her mother Donna Jensen, her sisters Roberta Jensen, Jackie (James) McDonald, Tammy (Daniel) Mueller and Marla (Peter) Miazga, her brother Walter (Lori) Jensen, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation for Vicky will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 3:30 to 5 p.m., with a memorial service following at 5 p.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial is being established in Vicky's name and any such gifts may be directed to her family.
