This program is part of the library's summer reading program and is sponsored by the Northern Arts Council, according to a library press release.
Spacey Fun for School-Age Children
The library will be hosting various activities based around the "A Universe of Stories" summer reading program theme on Wednesday, June 19 from 2 to 3 p.m.
A treat will be provided. This program is for children entering 1st through 5th grades. Registration is required and can be done by stopping by the children's department or calling 715-365-1070 ext. 2.
Spacey Fun for Preschoolers
Children ages two to those entering kindergarten are invited to the library for a bunch of "out-of-this-world activities" and a treat on Thursday, June 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. Registration is required and can be done by stopping by the children's department or calling 715-365-1070 ext. 2.
Kid's Summer Book Club
Two summer book clubs are being conducted this summer district library.
There's one for 3rd and 4th grade reading level and another for 5th and 6th grade reading levels, the release states.
Each group meets monthly after reading an age appropriate book. Stop by the children's department for more information or to register and receive the book you'll be discussing.
The book club's first meeting dates are Monday, June 24 for the older group and Tuesday, June 25 for the younger one. Both groups gather from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on those days for a bunch of fun-filled activities based around the book they read.

16th Annual Library Tea Party
Registrations are being accepted for the 16th annual Library Tea Party to be held at the library on Wednesday, June 26 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Registration is required and can be done by stopping in the children's department or calling 715-365-1070 ext. 2.
This program is sponsored by the Rhinelander Woman's Club.
Air-Powered Rockets
Children entering kindergarten and up are invited to take part in an Air-Powered Rocket program presented by Green Bay scientist Jim Lenz. Two programs will be offered on Thursday, June 27, one from 1 to 1:45 p.m. and another from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Participants will build and launch their own paper rockets. Registration is required and can be done by stopping in the children's department or calling 715-365-1070 ext. 2. This program is sponsored by the Rhinelander Woman's Club.
