He was born Nov. 10, 1936, in Crandon, to Glen and Clogne (Gilbert) Sheldon.
Dennis proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Florence Corby on Jan. 11, 1958. They moved to Rhinelander in 1984 where Dennis worked as an independent carpet installer until his retirement. Dennis was an accomplished country and western signer and enjoyed performing whenever an opportunity was available. He and Florence enjoyed traveling and made trips to Nashville, Branson, and Las Vegas.
Dennis is survived by his brother, Michael Sheldon of Oak Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florence, on Feb. 4, 2016; and a brother, Larry Sheldon.
A graveside service followed by interment of cremains will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at Northland Memorial Park. Please meet at the cemetery. Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) is assisting with arrangements.
