Project North Festival seeks exhibitors for art walk
"The Downtown Art Walk is open to both amateur and professional artists whose work is original in concept and design, plus the artist exhibiting must complete all their own work," according to a Project North press release. "Selected exhibitors will be matched with a participating downtown business storefront."
The Downtown Art Walk is open to all art forms including painting, drawing, stained glass, sculpture, jewelry, decorative painting, carving, basketry, textiles, wood working, pottery and more.
Applications are available on the Project North website, www.projectnorth.org/experiences/arts/, under the "Downtown Art Walk" section.
Project North is a multi-faceted festival focusing on music, art, and sustainability. The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce, WXPR, ArtStart, and Nicolet College, in collaboration with many community volunteers and supporters, have joined together to create the festival. Project North will feature: more than 15 live music performances on four stages at ArtStart, WXPR, the Masonic Lodge, and a temporary-grand stage on King Street; an eco-village with sustainability speakers, products, and vendors; sustainable food trucks and a craft beer wagon on King Street; unique art installations and experiences throughout Brown, Davenport, and King streets; School Of The Arts Legacy Program classes at UWSP-Treehaven; and a children's activity tent at the Rhinelander District Library, sponsored by the GFWC Rhinelander Woman's Club.
