Jill was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from St. John Cathedral High School. She earned her nursing degree from Milwaukee County General Hospital. Jill then moved to Rhinelander where she began her career as a registered nurse at St. Mary's Hospital. She retired as Vice President of Patient Services after nearly 30 years of service at St. Mary's. Jill then served as Director of Quality Control for the Potawatomi Tribe in Forest County for ten years. She enjoyed travel, reading, and Christmas was always her favorite holiday. Jill's greatest joy was her nieces and nephews.
Jill is survived by her siblings, Lyn (Kenny) Palmer of Slinger, Sally (Wayne) Brogden of Aurora, Colo., and Roy (Terry) Spieckerman of Colgate, Wis.; brother-in-law, Orlando Walker of Milwaukee; nieces and nephews, Amy, Daniel, Angela, Andrew, Mary Jo, and Roy; and great-nieces, Juliette and Genevieve.
She was preceded in death by mother, JoAnn Kuske and a sister, Karen Walker.
The funeral liturgy service for Jill will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until a time of recognition service at 10:30 a.m. by the Wisconsin Nurses Honor Detail. Burial will take place at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019, at the Town of Sugar Camp Cemetery. Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) is serving Jill's family.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests support of a memorial in Jill's name and contributions can be directed in care of her family.
