Beverly was proud of her Polish heritage and was very straightforward. She was a very hard worker and was employed as the town clerk of Woodboro for 24 years, along with that she was the manager and bookkeeper for Schmidt Logging, their family logging business. This meant helping out at the sawmill when needed. Beverly also worked on the family farm with her husband Roland raising Herefords.
Beverly was an avid reader and writer with a few of her children's books being published. Above all else was her family, she loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Beverly did not know the meaning of the word stranger and always had her door open to anyone and everyone.
Beverly is survived by her daughters Barb (Mike) Marten of Rhinelander, Kathy (Terry) Haese of Omaha, Neb., Conni (John) Schade of Tomahawk, sons Roland "Buzz" (Terrie )Schmidt, Thomas "Scoot" (Tina) Schmidt, Donald "Chip" Schmidt, Bud (Maggie) Schmidt, Cody Schmidt (Melissa), all of Rhinelander; grandchildren Shane, Rob, Addam, Vincent, Hunter, Tymber, Tim, Tad, Will, Lander, Cheyenne, Josie, Carly, Sawyer, Caleb, Portia, Mason, Cole, Parker; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Lynn Hardy, Julie (Rob) Wanty, Merri Huber, brothers Richard (Carol) Luce, Gordon (Dianna) Schrump, Pete Schrump, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roland, brothers Frank Luce, Carl Luce, sister in law Rose Luce, daughter-in-law Ana Schmidt, and nephews Paul and Frank "Red" Luce.
A memorial service will be held at the Carlson Funeral Home on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at noon, with pastor Susan Christian officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until just prior to the service at the Carlson Funeral Home. You may leave your private condolences for Beverly's family at www.carlsonfh.com.
