MASH blood drive to be held at National Guard Armory July 18
The event will include the following for presenting donors:
• Lunch and refreshments
• MASH T-shirt
• Entry to win one of four $500 Wisconsin Outdoor Adventure prize packages
"The Hodag MASH Blood Drive is a great opportunity to support the local community," vice president of donor services, Kristine Belanger, said. "As the sole provider of blood and blood products to more than 20 hospitals throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, The Community Blood Center relies on volunteer blood donors to ensure local patients have the life-saving blood products needed. These blood donations support the needs of family, friends and neighbors, including right here at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital."
During the summer months collecting blood donations becomes challenging, but the need for blood continues to grow, the release states. Through this fun event, CBC aims to replenish a diminished blood supply during its busy season.
Donors are encouraged to schedule a blood donation ahead of time; however, walk-ins are welcome.
