Downtown to host Taste of Chocolate Feb. 8

Friends, family and loved ones can enjoy shopping at downtown retail stores and sampling delicious chocolate-themed items ranging from desserts to drinks.
According to Rhonda Jicinsky, event coordinator and Downtown Rhinelander, Inc. president, there are a few things that seem to draw people to the event: "Who doesn't love chocolate? (There's) not much to do this time of year ... cabin fever!"
She added that this event is a great reason to get friends together and there are chocolate martinis.
Participants can enter for a chance to win a Golden Ticket, valued at $1,000 in Downtown Bucks (to be spent in downtown businesses), and sponsored by Nicolet Bank.
The winning ticket will be drawn at 8:15 p.m. at the Rhinelander Brewing Company, 43 S. Brown St.
"We are pleased to have a new Golden Ticket sponsor ... Nicolet Bank," she said.
Tickets for the event are $5 and can be purchased up until 7 p.m. the evening of the event. Children who are sampling desserts must have a $5 ticket as well.
Tickets to this delicious event can be purchased at Nicolet Bank, Trig's service desk, CT's Deli, Bucketheads and other businesses.
Participating businesses will have a red Taste of Chocolate heart displayed.
This year's businesses include: 13 Gifts, ArtStart, Bath and Body Creations & Coffeehaus, Bling on Brown, Brown Street 151, Big Daddy's, Bucketheads, CTs Deli, Diane's Frame Shoppe, Festive Frog, Flanders Realty Group, Forth Floral, Fun Factory Sweet Shoppe, Headwaters Christian Youth/Calvary Baptist, Hometown Pharmacy, Holiday Acres Resort, Imaginuity, Kid's Korner Pizza, Kids Impacting our Neighborhood Youth Program, Knight Gallery, Lattitudes, Magician Beautician, Mel's Trading Post, Northland Music, Northwestern Tavern, Pat's Tavern, Rhinelander Brewing Company, Rhinelander Café & Pub, Rhinelander Furniture and Mattress, Subway, Unique Creations, and Tricia's Treasures.
