The sixth-grade team went 2-1 on the day and was nipped by Wausau East 32-28 for first place in its pool. The Hodags defeated Antigo (32-8) and Wittenberg-Birnamwood (35-9).
The fifth-grade team went 1-2 and finished in third place in its pool. After losing to Wausau West and Lakeland, the Hodags closed out the day with a 32-25 win over Merrill.

The fifth- and sixth-grade girls' teams host a GNBL tournament today in Rhinelander.
