Then you're familiar with Bill Staines. For more than 40 years, Staines has traveled back and forth across North America, singing his songs and delighting audiences at festivals, folk song societies, colleges, concerts, clubs, and coffeehouses, a true modern-day troubadour. Many of his 100+ songs have been covered by artists as: Peter, Paul and Mary, Makem and Clancy, Nanci Griffith, Mason Williams, The Highwaymen, Glenn Yarbrough, Jerry Jeff Walker, Schooner Fare, Grandpa Jones, The Grace Family, Hank Cramer, Coty Hogue and Priscilla Herdman.
Staines will bring his music to Three Lakes Center for the Arts, in Three Lakes, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, organizers said in a press release.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for those under 12. Tickets can be purchased online through www.tlcfa.org.
