ADRC of Oneida County to host open house, honor retiring director
The ADRC is holding the open house to celebrate several milestones with the start of 2020, officials announced in a press release.
"January 1st marks their one-year anniversary as the ADRC of Oneida County. The rebranding of the former Department on Aging by becoming a fully 'integrated' ADRC combined with the Aging Unit has been a great success," the release states.
The open house will also showcase some recent facility improvements especially in the dining room. The dining room now has a more café-like environment with various seating options. New cabinets serve as a sound barrier between the dining room and reception and provides needed storage space, the release states.
In addition, the waiting areas have improved seating. The county took this opportunity to also update some of the 20+ year old carpet that was becoming a trip hazard in several parts of the department.
"This event will also celebrate the retirement of ADRC Director, Dianne Jacobson on Jan. 2, 2020 after close to 23 years in this position," the release notes. "Come help Dianne celebrate and welcome Joel Gottsacker who starts as interim ADRC director after serving as the assistant director for the past three years."
The ADRC of Oneida County is located at 100 W Keenan St in Rhinelander (across the parking lot from Trig's). For more information about the ADRC or this event, call 715-369-6170.
