NCES Culture Club students visit Newswatch 12
"Reporter Dan Hagen gave the students a tour of the facility," according to a school district press release describing the visit. "The students went into the sound room and the control room. They were amazed at the amount of detailed work that goes into controlling what viewers see on television. The students had an opportunity to see the live broadcast of Up North @ 4 with Adriana Michelle and Geoff Weller. Although the students had to be very quiet, they learned that many people work together to make the live broadcast successful."
The goal of the culture club is to increase engagement with additional positive adult influence while helping students gain skills in navigating social experiences, according to the district website.
