School counselor Lacey Sikora was recently recognized by her peers for her outstanding work as a counselor at Pelican Elementary School. Wickersham Jewelers, a longstanding business in the Rhinelander area, celebrated Sikora's accomplishments by presenting her with a bracelet. Wickersham's is celebrating its 60th anniversary by performing 60 acts of kindness in the community. Bryce Klaver, an employee at Wickersham Jewelers, contacted Principal Martha Knudtson to set up a plan to surprise the school counselor. This is Ms. Sikora's second year at Pelican School. Her positive energy and ability to connect with students and staff made her an easy choice, according to a press release announcing the honor.
