Mark attended school in Rhinelander and was a 1972 graduate of Rhinelander High School. He was a 1977 graduate of U.W. Stevens Point. He was employed with the Rhinelander paper mill and later with Hanson's Garden Village where he was honored for being the employee with the most years of employment with the business. His faith was very important and no matter what the circumstances, Mark would always want to attend church. He was a devoted member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and a 3rd. Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. In his younger years Mark played Little League, Babe Ruth, American Legion Baseball and softball. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching sports, cooking and Sudoku Puzzles. But most of all, Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and was very proud to be called "Uncle Mark".
He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Susan M. (Brent) Hanson of Rhinelander and Mary Kay (Gregg) Warren of Waupaca, and brothers John C. Colborn of Hallandale Beach, Fla. and Richard A. "Nate" Colborn of Rhinelander.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Kathryn Colborn.
The visitation for Mark will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, located at 125 E. King Street, from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Fr. Mike Tupa will be officiating. Immediately following the mass there will be a procession to Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery where a Committal Service will be held.
