Edward was born in Rhinelander, on Wednesday, July 20, 1932, the son of Philip and Ruth (Dailey) Cholewinski. He graduated in 1951 from Rhinelander High School. He then served in the United States Army as a cook stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was united in marriage at St. Joseph Catholic Church, on May 9, 1964, to Gayle P. Hill. The couple lived in Rhinelander and Edward was employed for 44 years with the Rhinelander Paper Company. He was an electrician and retired as an electronics technician. He was a member of the Rhinelander F. & A.M. Lodge 242 where he had been past Worshipful Master. He was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Rhinelander. Edward delivered meals on wheels for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing or gardening.
Edward will be remembered for his sense of humor.
The visitation for Edward will take place Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service and Masonic Lodge Service at the Rhinelander Masonic Lodge, located at 23 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander.
