Jerome "Jerry" Ahlswede
Jerry was a Navy veteran and learned to fly at the age of 14. This continued to be the love of his life, taking off from either land or water. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and also the Seaplane Pilots Association, and business owner in Three Lakes.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Frances Ahlswede; brothers George and Jon Ahlswede; sister Carol Coates. He is survived by his sister Mary (Jim) Greene of Three Lakes; twin brother Jim of Milwaukee and Mike of Three Lakes; special sister-in-law Audrey Ahlswede of Plymouth. Meaning so much to him are his special nephews and nieces: Scott Ahlswede, Jill Laurence, Joe, Jane, John and Jacki Greene, Kay Coates, Nikki Schultz and Toni Swendson. Also special are his grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
He will be missed by many friends and fellow pilots. They know he's flying in heaven.
Donations received will be directed toward the education on carbon monoxide and purchase of those detectors.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday April 12, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Three Lakes. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service with Father Allam officiating.
