Warm for Winter recognizes volunteers
Warm for Winter collects, sorts and gives away free coats, sweaters, pants, shoes, bedding, toys and more, six times a year.
"From adults to infants, for more than a decade, this organization has been helping to meet the needs of our citizens," the release states. "The volunteers have recycled thousands of items of clothing and bedding in our community, making Warm for Winter one of our most environmentally conscience organizations."
The 2018-2019 distribution days are Sept. 29, Oct. 27, Nov. 24, Dec. 29, Jan. 26, and Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon. All items are free and available in all sizes and styles. The event is located at Friendly Village Nursing Home, across from Co-Vantage Credit Union, 900 Boyce Drive in Rhinelander. Everyone is welcome.
