Jane Jelinek was born July 12, 1931 to Frank and Rose Marsik. She is survived by one brother, Donald Marsik of San Francisco; her children, Jeff Jelinek of Ashville, N.C., Dave Jelinek (Robin) of Naples, Fla., Terri Donahue, (Tom) of Dover, N.H. and her four grandchildren, Brad Jelinek (Catherine), Mike Jelinek, Dan Donahue and Jake Donahue.
Jane received a Bachelors Degree of Science at Lawrence College in Wisconsin. She became a reading specialist and continued on with her education obtaining her Master's Degree at UW Stevens Point.
Jane married Charles Jelinek in 1955 and they moved to Rhinelander where she began her career with the Rhinelander K-12 School District as a reading specialist. She was very dedicated to her career and because of that many students benefited by having her as their teacher.
Jane was always "game" for anything. She loved to have fun and laugh. She enjoyed many activities such as golf, tennis, bridge and swimming. Her friends and family will remember her always for her sense of humor. Whether you were on the golf course, playing bridge, or a traveling companion, you could always count on Jane for a good time.
In 2005 Jane moved to Naples, Fla. to enjoy her retirement years, where she lived until she passed.
Jane will be sadly missed by her friends and family and remembered always for her direct nature and wonderful sense of humor.
