Youth Sports: Hodag JV squads compete at GNC cross country race
The Hodags placed fourth in the JV girls' division and fifth in the JV boys' division.
Valerie Dalka was Rhinelander's top finisher in the JV girls' race. She finished 15th overall, covering the five-kilometer course in 24 minutes, 19.1 seconds. The rest of the scoring members of the team were Liana Teter (18th, 24:33.3), Jenna Younker (21st, 25:15.9), Ellie Van Camp (24th, 25:21.8), Delaney Chillemi (25th, 25:53.3) and Houston Mathwig (27th, 26:04.3).
Jakob Losch led the RHS boys (27th, 20:49.3), finishing just ahead of teammate Jack DeNamur (28th, 20:50.0). Tristan Fuss (30th, 21:08.9), Koldyn Gechas (41st, 22:00.8) and Jason Zheng (45th, 23:32.9) rounded out the Hodag contingent.
