Rhinelander's Maney receives WASCD  instructional leader award
"Teri has been instrumental in moving the School District of Rhinelander forward," according to a WASCD press release announcing the honor. "When Teri sees a need for change, she will do whatever is required to make the change a reality. She gracefully handles difficult conversations and situations while promoting the good in each educator. Ms. Maney has a keen eye and uses superior active listening skills to take a pulse on everyone and in every environment. She has served as a teacher, principal, and director, but more importantly, a kind, loving, and giving woman that promotes, 'All means All.' Teri may use a soft voice, but she is a true leader for the School District of Rhinelander."
The Wisconsin Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development created the Wisconsin Instructional Leader of the Year Award to honor an instructional leader who has served in an instructional leadership role in PK-12 education for at least three years and is a proven champion of curriculum, instruction, and assessment policies and practices that enhance learning both within and outside the district, the release states.
The winner receives a $1,500 stipend to attend a future ASCD event.
