Anyone interested in learning more about either academic adventure is invited to attend an information session from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in Tamarack Center 210 on the Nicolet Campus.
"Previous students have commented that the classes were a life-changing experience for them," Nate Wilson, Nicolet Fine Arts instructor and leader of the trip to London, said in a press release announcing the classes. "Both classes give students a greater world view that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives."
The class to London will take place Jan. 2 to 13, 2019. Cost is $3,303. This includes three University Transfer Art credits, round-trip air fare from Central Wisconsin Airport, lodging, transportation in London, admission to numerous world-class art galleries, Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, and an evening theater performance.
The class to Guatemala will take place May 25 to June 8, 2019.
According to the release, the exact cost is still being determined but is expected to be around $2,960. This includes four University Transfer Spanish credits, round-trip airfare from Central Wisconsin Airport to Guatemala, ground transportation to and around the city of Antigua, one-on-one Spanish language instruction at Don Pedro de Alvarado Spanish School, lodging with a Guatemalan family, most meals, guided travel excursions and cultural activities.
The general public is invited to take part in either class. Financial aid and scholarships are available for both classes.
