Samoset Council Jamboree open to the public
"The 2018 Samoset Fall Jamboree will be held Oct. 12-14 at the Hodag Festival Grounds in Rhinelander" according to a Samoset Council press release. "With an average of 1,500 in attendance from across Central Wisconsin (and beyond), all Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, STEM Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Explorers are invited. Not a part of the Scouting community? No worries. You're invited as well. Our program will be jam-packed with challenging activities, super shows, and awesome exhibits. So, start planning now to enjoy this most excellent adventure. This event only happens once every 3-5 years so don't miss your chance! 1000+ youth enjoying a multitude of activities with a variety of vendors as well as getting to jam out to HYDE on Saturday night."
Scouts will camp out and stay for the entire weekend, but the general public is welcome to join in all of Saturday's festivities for $15 (price doesn't include limited edition patch or lunch), the release states.
