Tickets are available at The Waters, SaveMore, JJ's Acres, and from committee members Judy Barry, Mary Hebert, Kathy Justinak; Kristen Pfaller, Amy Rayala, Anne Redman, Judy Russell, Lisa Tadych, Kristen Weiss, Pam Winkelman and Tracy Winkelman. The ticket price is $40.
"Wine Women and Winter is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Lakeland Pantry," the release states. "Always sold out, this beautiful holiday gala provides a wonderful venue where community women come together in camaraderie to raise funds to help feed more than 2,400 families served by the pantry, 40 percent of this total is children."
A wide selection of red and white wines will be served including some organic wines. All are personally selected by the committee members working together with John Aiken of SaveMore Marketplace. Wines will be available the night of the event for ordering at special pricing. A number of non-alcoholic beverages will also be offered as well as coffee and a choice of holiday-flavored coffees.
Attendees will enjoy an evening of sampling scrumptious appetizers, the release states. SaveMore Marketplace's Pam Siech, manager of the store's delicatessen/bakery and special order gourmet foods, will prepare and serve a large selection of hot and cold gourmet hors d'oeuvres. All appetizers may be ordered from Siech for holiday parties and get-togethers.
Also, Wild Berry Market's Megan Rudisill will serve one of her signature appetizers. Completing the evening's menu will be gourmet desserts baked and served by Cora Rudisill, owner of Eye Candy Cakes.
Once again, WWW men dressed in black and white will be on hand to help with coat check, raffle ticket sales, and serving wine. Holiday music will be performed by Trillium.
While holiday wine, food, and music are a big part of Wine Women and Winter, a highly anticipated feature of the night is the raffle of 70 to 75 beautifully decorated and assembled gift baskets of merchandise and merchandise certificates donated by over a hundred local merchants, the release notes.
Again, this year, single raffle tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20 dollars, 12 tickets for $40, 20 tickets for $60, 30 tickets for $80, and 40 tickets for $100. Organizers urge women to bring address labels to use on purchased raffle tickets.
