Northwoods School of Dance to present 'The Nutcracker' Dec. 1
Shows are scheduled for 1 and 6 p.m.
"The dancers have been rehearsing and are excited to revisit this classic Christmas tale," organizers said in a press release. "This performance is partially funded by a generous grant from the Northern Arts Council. In addition to 'The Nutcracker,' jazz, tap and hip-hop dancers aged 3-22 will open the show with holiday favorites."
Tanya Cook, Jessica Shaw, Miriah Mannikko, Jessie Swearingen, Tanya Taylor, along with director Karen Cook. have been choreographing pieces for the two shows.
Tickets will be sold at the door prior to each show. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children. Children age 3 and under are free.
