The seventh and eighth grade band and choir will perform and the guest speaker will be Tammy Javenkoski, Oneida County Veterans Service Officer, organizers said in a press release. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
Later the same the day, the Oneida County Veterans Council will host a Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Monument on the Oneida County Courthouse lawn. The Nativity of our Lord choir will perform and Rhinelander Mayor Chris Frederickson will speak at the ceremony which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
Finally, the Rhinelander Historic Preservation Commission will host a Roots Celebration in the Rhinelander High School auditorium from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. Friday.
There will be at least five World War II veterans at the event who will talk about their military experience during the war, organizers said in a press release.
All citizens are cordially invited to attend these events that honor the men and women who proudly served our country.
