Special Olympics bowling team participates in regionals
First-, second- and third-place finishers in each division qualified for the state competition which will be held on Nov. 11 at Dale's Weston Lanes. The Hodags saw 12 out of their 15 bowlers advance to the state competition.
"The athletes bowled hard and showed great sportsmanship," district officials stated in a press release.
First-place divisional winners were Paige Appling, Jenna May Enders, Whitley Devine and Stephen Herrmann. Miguel Gonzalez, Maggie Lehman, Drake Winters and Allison Brunette placed second in their respective divisions. Emma Knapp, Hannah Umland, Gabe White and Spencer Smith all posted third-place finishes.
Nevaeh Johnson and Maria Dornfeld finished in fourth place while Marshall Barlowski placed sixth.
