James Williams Middle School boys win conference track title
The Hodags scored 168 points, beating runner-up Mosinee by 50 points. The JWMS girls finished fifth with 74 total points. The combined score of the JWMS boys' and girls' teams was the second best overall in the conference small division.
Included in the Hodags' slate of wins was a new conference record set by Cole Worrall in the 200-meter hurdles.
The following relays and individuals recorded top-eight finishes for the Hodags at conference:
1st Place
Boys: Caleb Olcikas (100, 200), Ty Welk (400), Cole Worrall (200 hurdles) 4x100 relay (Beau Howard, Jett Biolo, Chad Hunt, Olcikas), 4x200 relay (Alexx Huff, Worrall, AJ Bergman, Hunt), 4x400 relay (Welk, Jaden Beske, Jacksen Smith, Bergman), Jacob Schoppe (shot put), Brock Snyder (discus), Beske (high jump).
Girls: Alexandria Gamez (200 hurdles).
2nd Place
Boys: Beske (1,600), Worrall (110 hurdles).
