Rhinelander's CT's Deli celebrates third anniversary
"People from all over the state find their way to Rhinelander for so many reasons," Jicinsky said. "Deciding to capitalize on that knowledge, we decided to invest in advertising on a billboard south of Merrill. We put our Lunchbox Bloody Mary ... served in a beer pitcher and has 16 different garnishes, including chicken wings and BBQ ribs, on the billboard to attract passersby. It's about making downtown Rhinelander a destination."
Jicinsky serves on the Downtown Rhinelander Inc. board of directors and helps coordinate events put on by DRI.
"We can feel the energy and momemtum of the downtown changing and growing and it's exciting to be part of the reason that people are coming back to the downtown," she said.
CT's Deli feels a sense of pride to have the support of the community and represent Rhinelander to people outside the community. Regulars are the core of the business and it's rewarding to have customers get to know each other and establish friendships from hanging around the deli.
Outside patio seating makes CT's Deli a "dog friendly" eatery.
Besides the expansive menu, CT's Deli offers monthly cooking classes with the Chef Tom, a line of artisan olive oils and balsamic vinegars, and traditional Italian deli meats like prosciutto and capicola sold by the pound.
CT's Deli kitchen hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and closed Sundays.
