By Cassie Shefcik-
There are so many different ways to celebrate surviving another long winter.
We all held on to hope during the doldrums of January and February (and March and April) as we dreamed of warmer, sunnier days filled with leafy trees and flowers.
Many of the vendors who populate the Hodag Farmers Market know that feeling well as they started planning their gardens last fall before the market season ended, as many gardeners do.
Most have been prepping all week for the start of the 2018 market season.
The Hodag Farmers' Market will open its 2018 season at 8 a.m. May 26 at Rhinelander's Pioneer Park.
I'll be there and so will all the other awesome vendors. This year we'll welcome some new vendors, whom I will introduce to you in future articles.
Even though our spring was delayed you'll still find many wonderful things at the market: bedding plants, rhubarb, fresh greens, Spring onions, canned goods, bakery, eggs.
All the vendors hope to see you this Saturday at Pioneer Park between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
