Habitat for Humanity ReStore looking for furniture and appliance donations
"We have had incredible support from all the local communities," George Allen, ReStore operations director, said in a press release. "But, the demand is outgrowing our supply. We could definitely use more quality items to meet our customers' requests and needs."
The Habitat for Humanity Restore helps the Habitat for Humanity Northwoods affiliate by raising money to build homes for families who may not be able to acquire conventional homeownership financing and to help finance simplistic home maintenance projects for those having a difficult time physically maintaining their homes, the release states.
The ReStore will pick up donations from Oneida and surrounding border counties.
"We put a lot of miles on our pickup/delivery truck," said Allen. "We'll save you the hassle and headache of removing heavy items from your house."
The ReStore is open Monday through Saturday. Monday through Wednesday the store hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday's hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store is open Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pickups and deliveries can be scheduled any of those days.
"It's a community effort," said Allen. "The more donations we get for the store, the more we can do to help people."
