Rhinelander United Methodist Church expands worship options

When Pastor Keith Wolf took over as lead pastor at Rhinelander United Methodist Church last summer, he looked around and knew it needed more options in ministries. So Pastor Wolf decided it was time to add a new fresh worship service to the Sunday morning lineup of worship and grow groups.

Beginning on April 1, Easter Sunday, a contemporary worship option will be offered each Sunday morning at 10:15 a.m. alongside an 8 a.m. traditional worship option, according to a church press release.

This new worship service at 10:15 a.m. will feature contemporary Christian music with a live band and a life-applicable message by Pastor Wolf based on the Bible and supported with multi-media.

The traditional service at 8 a.m. will feature hymns played on the organ, a life-applicable message based on the Bible and a traditional liturgy without the use of multimedia.

"In today's world people want options," the release states. "This is true even in churches. While some people feel at home and connect with God in more traditional-styled worship, others want the option to connect with God through more contemporary styles of worship. For those who want their worship contemporary, this new service at 10:15 a.m. beginning Easter Sunday, April 1, at Rhinelander UM Church (724 Arbutus St.) is for them."
