Downtown Rhinelander will come alive with the sound of music thanks to a $2,500 grant to ArtStart. The award, from the Rhinelander Community Foundation (RCF), will fund the Eat to the Beat lunchtime concert series on Fridays beginning July 20. The performances will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include a mix of genres highlighting original songs by each performer, according to press release announcing the grant.

ArtStart Development Director Melinda Childs shared that the series will be held on the organization's new outdoor community space.

"Our hope is that adding more programming and green space to the area will encourage others to do the same, creating a more vibrant downtown," she said. "Providing entertainment over the lunch hour gives those living and working downtown a nice break and opportunity to come together with their neighbors and it gives visitors yet another reason to come hang out downtown!"

The mission of The Rhinelander Community Foundation is to facilitate charitable giving and, together with its donors, enhance the quality of life in the Rhinelander community now and for future generations. Several funds have already been established to benefit the community, allowing donors to connect with causes that are meaningful to them.
