As of Tuesday, camping spaces were filling in nicely "and a little bit ahead of last year's numbers," event co-coordinator Dixie Nieuwenhuis said.
Nieuwenhuis said she's received positive feedback about this year's lineup and thinks Toby Keith, Cole Swindell and Drake White, in particular, will draw large crowds.
So far, the weather looks promising, she added.
"It looks like the weather should be really good, hopefully not too warm though," she said.
Hodag Country Festival has a new partnership with Dunkin' Donuts, which will have a booth on the grounds, and HCF will have a Clean Chairs promotion. If people keep their area clean they can get nice trinkets as a "thank you."
People from all over the U.S. come to this event.
Laurie Withers is excited for her seventh year at Hodag Country Fest and is particularly looking forward to the Locash show.
She arrived last Saturday, and passes the time by the beach, swimming, walking and attending parties.
Withers' favorite thing about the event is the music.
"I'll be here till I retire and then some," she said. "It's a blast and I love coming out here every year. The security is wonderful, everybody gets along with everybody, the people are wonderful here."
Peter Davis has attended over 30 Hodag Country Festivals.
"It's a relaxation thing," he said. "We've been coming here for a long time, just love it."
Main stage entertainment begins tonight and will continue through Sunday evening.
