Magic show, tea party, worm race coming later this month
Two 45-minute programs will be conducted July 10, the first at 11 a.m. and the second at 2 p.m., library officials announced in a press release.
Free tickets are available by stopping by the children's department or calling 715-365-1070 ext. 2. This program is sponsored by the Rhinelander Woman's Club.
Kid's Summer Book Club
Two summer book clubs are being conducted at the library. There's a club for third and fourth grade reading level and another for fifth and sixth grade reading levels. Each group meets monthly after reading an age-appropriate book.
The book club's second meeting date is Tuesday, July 24 for the younger group and Thursday, July 26 for the older. Both groups gather from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on those days. For more information or to register, stop by the children's department or call 715-365-1070 ext. 2.
15th Annual Library Tea Party
Registrations are being accepted for the 15th annual Library Tea Party, to be held Wednesday, July 11 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Registration is required and can be done by stopping in the children's department or calling 715-365-1070 ext. 2. This program is also sponsored by the Rhinelander Woman's Club.
Magic Show
A very special magic show will be held Monday, July 16 from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the Nicolet College LRC Theater. Matthew "Magic" Morgan and his assistant Lilliana combine the art of illusion and comedy to put on a performance that will entertain the whole family, the release states.
This program is co-sponsored by the children's department and the Northern Arts Council.
Dave Dall & Friends at Buck Lake
The library will host a musical program on Wednesday, July 18 from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. at Buck Lake featuring Dave Dall & Friends.
"Enjoy the lake and some great children's music," library officials urge.
In case of inclment weather, the program will be held in the library meeting room. This program is sponsored by the Rhinelander Woman's Club.
Worm Race
Calling all worm racers! The 30th Annual Great Library Worm Race will be crawled on Tuesday, July 31 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on "Wiggly Field" outside the library. Worm racing teams need to register with the Northwoods Worm Racing Federation by visiting the children's department or by calling 365-1070, extension 2.
There is a limit of 60 two-person teams. This program is sponsored by the Northwoods Lions Club.
