RSC concludes regular season in Tomahawk
Two swimmers made state cuts this meet. Jack Antonuk, 13, posted a state-qualifying time in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.57) and Samson Shinners, 10, beat the qualifying standard in the 500 freestyle (6:58.68).
Shinners also set the club record for the 400 individual medley in his age category with a time of 6:21.88.
Sadie Houghton posted the biggest time drop of the week, shaving 20 seconds off in at least one event. Karly Gillingham, Caleb Luce and Augusta Gruett posted 15-second time drops; Ella Cordy, Karly Gillingham, Camilla Gruett, Samson Shinners and Kelsey Yunkers had 10-second time drops; Anthony Barrett, Abigale Johnson, Karly Gillingham, Kristofer Harris, Sadie Houghton, Caleb Luce, Eli Lundt, Sarah Marshall, Austen Slette, Samson Shinners and Kelsey Yunkers had five-second drops.
RSC will host the Eastern Divisional Meet this Saturday and Sunda at the Heck Family Community Pool.
NOTE: The RSC omitted a state-qualifying performance from the Lakeland meet held Dec. 16, 2017. Charlie Heck, 12, posted a state cut in the 50 freestyle (27.68).
