Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce Big Bundle Up campaign exceeds goal
Big Bundle Up is a statewide campaign organized by Travel Wisconsin. Wisconsin residents and visitors are asked to donate new or gently used mittens, scarves, hats, coats, sweaters, and other warm clothing items.
In 2016, the chamber collected 172 items. This year's goal was 200 items and chamber officials say they actually exceeded that number.
The grand total collected was 263 items, including 46 coats, 42 mittens, 38 hats and much more. The items have been donated to the local Warm for Winter campaign - a free clothing pantry in Rhinelander.
The Big Bundle Up campaign ran from Nov. 16 to Jan. 2. However, Warm for Winter collects all year long. For more information, contact Warm for Winter at 715-362-7157 or the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce at 715-365-7464 or e-mail [email protected].
