Rhinelander native Reinthaler named Midwest Conference's performer of the week
Reinthaler led St. Norbert to a 2-1 stretch over the holiday break. Reinthaler averaged 17.7 points and 9.0 rebounds in the three games, shooting 50 percent from the floor and a perfect 14-for-14 at the free-throw line.
Reinthaler posted a career-high 24 points in a 75-62 win over North Central (Minn.) Dec. 29, adding 11 rebounds with five assists, four blocked shots and two steals in 35 minutes. He added 23 points and seven rebounds in an 89-78 loss to No. 11-ranked UW-Whitewater in the championship game of the Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament on Dec. 30 and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Reinthaler, a 2014 Rhinelander High School graduate and the 2013-14 Great Northern Conference boys' basketball player of the year, is averaging 15.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season for the Green Knights, who are currently 10-2 overall and 5-0 in the Midwest Conference.
