Library to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday Feb. 27
Dave Dall & Friends will present two 30-minute musical programs at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., according to a library press release.
Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded. Admission is free but tickets are required and are available in the children's department or by calling 365-1070 ext. 2. This event is made possible by the efforts of the Rhinelander District Library Foundation.
Baby Storytime
The library's winter session of Baby Storytime is in progress. This storytime is conducted on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. Designed for young ones ages 6 months to 2 years of age, this 20-minute program consists of simple stories, fingerplays, and music. A social/play time follows each program.
No-School Special - Make It @ Your Library
Children can stop in the children's department anytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26 to participate in on-your-own science fun by building structures out of toothpicks, marshmallows, popsicle sticks and other common materials.
Preschool Programs
Two programs for preschoolers are scheduled at the library on Thursday, March 1. A 20-minute Parent/Tot Time program for children age 2 to 3 1/2 who are accompanied by an adult begins at 10 a.m. in the children's department.
A 40-minute Story Time program for children age 3 1/2 to 6 is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the library meeting room. Caregivers and children from both groups will then gather together to do a simple craft.
