UW-Trout Lake Station Artist-in-Residence open for 2019

The University of Wisconsin's Trout Lake Station in Boulder Junction has announced the opening of the 2019 application for its Artist-in- Residence Program. This residency is part of the station's "Drawing Water" program, which brings together artists and scientists to explore the relationships between people, northern lakes and landscapes in a changing climate and a changing world.

Trout Lake Station is a year-round field station operated by the Center for Limnology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Located in the Northern Highland Lake District, the station provides access to a wide variety of aquatic ecosystems and their surrounding landscapes. It is also home to one of the National Science Foundation's Long Term Ecological Research sites examining long term change on lakes near Trout Lake Station. The residency seeks to document arts and humanities responses to change over time in these lake environments. The Drawing Water Artist-in-Residence is open to visual artists, writers, musicians, and performance artists who have specific interests in exploring the relationship between people, northern lakes and landscapes in a scientific context. For more details and to apply, click on the "Artists in Residence" tab at http://drawingwater.weebly.com/eligibility--application.html

Deadline to apply is Feb. 15, 2019.
