Rhinelander Lions build display for 'Lights' event
The Rhinelander Lions Club built a display of three Hodags pulling a Lions' sleigh that will be part of the Lights of the Northwoods event Dec 14-16 and Dec 21-23 in Hodag Park. Pictured are Lions Jeff Kataoka, Mike Romportl, Linda and Scott Campbell. Since there are no Hodags in the park, and yet its name is Hodag Park, Romportl suggested the club build the display. The Lions helped the Lights of the Northwoods get started last year and the Lights are now incorporated as a separate non-profit group. The Lions urge the community to come out and view the Hodags pulling the sleigh and the entire lights display and thank the Lights of the Northwoods for spearheading this event again for the communities enjoyment.
