Altenberg, the first manager of the program, resigned in February of this year.
In his place will be Roger Youngren, originally from Kingsford, Mich. According to a press release from OVTC chairman Erv Teichmiller, Youngren has over 35 years of management experience in the transportation industry including staff management, budgeting, procurement, safety, labor negotiation, marketing, and customer satisfaction.
He received his bachelor of science degree in transportation management from the United State Merchant Marine Academy and lives with his wife, Sharon, in Conover.
"We also appreciate our continued partnership with Bay Area Rural Transit in supporting Roger during this transition period," Teichmiller said in the press release.
Youngren's first day on the job will be Aug. 20.
