New general surgeon joins Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center
His professional interests include anti-reflux surgery, with special training in minimally invasive and incisionless anti-reflux surgery, surgery for stroke prevention and breast surgery for both benign and malignant breast disease, according to a Marshfield Clinic press release. He also enjoys the full range of general surgical procedures.
"Marshfield Clinic's excellent clinical reputation drew me to the area," Kutschke said. "After meeting some of my colleagues, I realized they share my love of surgery and a passion for excellent patient care and commitment to this community. Not only is the clinic a great professional opportunity, the Minocqua community is a gem. The landscape is beautiful, the people are friendly and my family felt immediately at home."
Kutschke received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He completed his general surgery residency at Butterworth Hospital/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids. He spent the first 12 years of his surgical career in solo private practice and then worked as a hospital-employed surgeon for an additional 12 years.
"We are happy that Dr. Kutschke has joined our general surgery team," Terri Adams, manager of the Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center surgical specialties, said. "He brings a wealth of experience that will benefit our patients."
Kutschke's personal interests include outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, motorcycling, hunting and fishing. "I will be looking for opportunities to be involved in community activities outside of work as well," Kutschke said.
