Vanney to take part in Envision's Junior National Young Leaders Conference
JrNYLC is one of the Envision family of programs (www.envisionexperience.com) that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom, according to a School District of Rhinelander press release.
Kaden was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Krouze, who recognized him as a student who has achieved academic excellence and possesses strong leadership potential, the release states.
Kaden attends James Williams Middle School and will be a seventh grader in the fall.
He loves sports and participates in football, basketball and baseball. Kaden also loves to write, draw and play video games.
Kaden is the son of Pete and Amy Vanney of Rhinelander, and his grandparents are Dorothy (Dick) Vanney of Rhinelander, Gail Hilgendorf of Rhinelander and Kyrle Hilgendorf of Irma.
"JrNYLC is a great opportunity for high-achieving scholars to get outside the classroom and see, through hands-on interactive learning, how to innovate and think creatively," said Andrew Potter, the Chief Academic Officer for Envision. "These students, who have already proven themselves academically, will be challenged to work on real-world, student-created projects to bring their studies and career interests to life."
Since 1985, Envision programs have served more than 800,000 students in more than 145 countries, with programs designed to help students develop the leadership, scholarship and career skills needed to succeed in today's competitive college and career landscape.
