Soccer team helps with Peaceful Playground
Most recently, the team was at Pelican School helping give the playground a facelift. Paintbrushes and rollers were actively brightening up the Peaceful Playground areas on the blacktop.
Since implemented in 2012, the playground areas including four square, hopscotch and many other games have become weathered and worn due to all the use. The premise of Peaceful Playground is that conflict resolution is modeled to empower students with the skills to resolve disagreements.
Thanks to the boys' soccer team, the students will be able to enjoy these games while working on how to solve disagreements, as well as following the School District of Rhinelander's four Bs of being safe, being respectful, being responsible, and being here.
