The cast is set and rehearsals are underway for the Nicolet Players' upcoming production of "God of Carnage" the first and second weeks of November in the Nicolet College Theatre.

The Tony award-winning play tells the story of two upper-middle class New York families who find their lives laid bare when they try to resolve a schoolyard spat started by their children.

The cast includes KC Hofer of Hazelhurst, Anna Schwartz and Amanda Stroede, both from Rhinelander, and Justin Tucker of Wabeno.

"Both sets of parents meet to resolve the issue civilly and like adults," Nicolet College Theatre Director Jim Nuttall, who's been producing plays at Nicolet for more than 20 years, said in a press release. "Those good intentions quickly disintegrate into a 'comedy of no manners.'"

Performances are scheduled for Nov. 3 to 5 and Nov. 9 to 12. Tickets are $7 and $9 and can be ordered online at nicoletlive.com or by calling (715) 365-4646. Note the play contains some strong language.
