JWMS runners host home meet
The Hodags placed fourth out of seven teams in the boys' division and fifth out of six teams in the girls' race.
Eighth-grader Cal Laggis scored a runner-up finish for the JWMS boys, covering the three-kilometer course in a time of 12 minutes, 25 seconds. Will Gretzinger (10th, 13:14), Jack DeNamur (38th, 14:07), Jett Biolo (29th, 14:16), Kadin Christianson (38th, 14:41), Max Ratty (54th, 16:03) and Mason Baker (55th, 16:05) rounded out the scoring for the Hodags.
Grace Kern paced the JWMS girls, placing 10th overall with a time of 13:50. Sage Flory (20th, 14:33), Juliana Smith (24th, 14:52), Genna Fugle (28th, 15:02), Brynn Brzycki (29th, 15:17), Maddie Mathwig (33rd, 15:24) and Anna Wood (42nd, 15:50) rounded out the Hodags' top seven.
